The self-assessment in the Graduate Program in Communication at UFRB is understood in its procedural dimension, in articulation with the indications of the guidelines defined by the document of the communication and information area, from the reports of the Evaluation Committee (CPA), for the period 2018 -2020, and the UFRB Institutional Development Plan (PDI) in force, for the period 2019 to 2030. In this way, we recognize a dense trajectory of carrying out the numerous steps, procedures, and self-assessment reports, which began at UFRB in 2009, following dimensions defined by Law No. 10,861, of April 14, 2004, which instituted the National Higher Education Assessment System (SINES).

The approach of the self-assessment process in PPGCOM starts from this connection, considering information and data collection that guide the ongoing initiatives, for more than a decade, at UFRB. It is a trajectory that consolidates the commitments present since the implementation of the university with the preparation stage, involving the planning and establishment of action strategies, followed by the development, with field research with the academic community, institutional documentation, and reality of each of the seven teaching centers on seven campuses, for the preparation of reports for each period.
